Bio

Beth Bacher:  Head Coach (20th Season, 164-170-0)

Beth Bacher is in her 20th season as the head coach of the Fitchburg State field hockey program.  Throughout her 19 year career at Fitchburg State, she has amassed a remarkable 164 career victories making her the program's all-time winningest coach.  

Over the 2016 season, Bacher led the Falcons to an overall record of 13-6 with a 7-4 mark in the Little East Conference (LEC) as the Falcons had four players named to the Little East All-Conference teams.

During a successful 2010 campaign, Fitchburg State finished with an overall record of 10-8 (6-5 LEC) and its second consecutive MASCAC Championship. The Falcons advanced to the quarterfinal round of the LEC tournament, naming four players to the Little East All-Conference team.

Over her career, Bacher has enjoyed a successful 18-year run with the Falcons, including a two-year stretch (2005-06) that witnessed two MASCAC Championships and a pair of Little East Conference Tournament berths. For her efforts, Bacher was named the 2006 Little East Conference and MASCAC Coach of the Year. 

Bacher, a graduate of Springfield College, currently teaches Health and Physical Education.
