Bell Tabbed MASCAC Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week
Dorchester, Mass. native earns third weekly honor of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior guard Jaleel Bell was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Bell collects his second consecutive and third overall weekly accolade of the season after averaging 19.5 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. The second-year Falcon posted a double-double of 21 points and ten rebounds to go along with two assists and two steals in a 78-68 overtime win over Framingham State on Wednesday before adding a game-best 18 points, eight boards, four assists and four steals in a 75-59 triumph against Westfield State on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State men's basketball team (10-9, 5-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Monday as it hosts the Ephs of Williams College for a contest starting at 7 p.m.
