Bell Tabbed MASCAC And WACBA Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week

Dorchester, Mass. native registers fourth weekly accolade on the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior guard Jaleel Bell was selected both Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) and Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Men's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Bell picks up his fourth weekly honor of the year after averaging 27 points, 9.5 rebounds, three assists, 1.5 steals and two blocks in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold. The second-year Falcon netted a double-double of 28 points and 11 boards to go along with three assists and three blocks in an 84-70 win over Worcester State on Wednesday before adding 26 points, eight caroms, three assists, three steals and one block in a 90-65 triumph against MCLA on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State men's basketball team (13-10, 8-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Salem State to take on the Vikings for a contest starting at 5:30 p.m.
