
Bell Earns ECAC DIII NE Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Honors
Dorchester, Mass. native collects first ECAC DIII NE weekly honor of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior guard Jaleel Bell was recently tabbed Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) DIII New England Men's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Bell earns his first ECAC Division III NE weekly honor of the year after 27 points, 9.5 rebounds, three assists, 1.5 steals and two blocks in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. Jaleel collected a double-double of 28 points and 11 boards as well as three assists and three blocks in an 84-70 victory over Worcester State on Wednesday before adding a game-best 26 points, eight caroms, three assists, three steals and one block in a 90-65 win against MCLA on Saturday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State men's basketball team (13-10, 8-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Salem State to take on the Vikings for a contest starting at 5:30 p.m.
