Men's Basketball Falls to Lehman in Overtime

ROCHESTER, NY: Fitchburg State men's basketball fell in overtime to the Lightning of Lehman College at RIT's Tipoff Tournament this afternoon in non-conference action.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 11/9/24

- Score: Lehman 77, Fitchburg 73

- Records: Leman (1-1), Fitchburg (0-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- This was a back-and-forth contest between the two teams, with the first half going to the Lightning 35-30 and the second half going to the Falcons 35-30. Nathaniel Semedo (Bridgewater, MA) topped all scores tonight in an effort to get the win for the Falcons. Semedo dropped a 30-point game from off the bench with an additional four rebounds and three steals. He put up 13 points in each half, including a team-high of four points in the OT frame. Matthew Drayton (Boston, MA) topped the Falcons on the boards with six, including 11 points, three assists, and two steals.  

- The Lightning's Kai Parris had a monster game. He completed the contest with a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds. Parris also added three blocks and two assists. Brandon Marks also contributed heavily to Lehman's win. He scored 17 points with six rebounds and three assists while coming in off the bench. Parris' 16 rebounds weren't the game-high, with his teammate Lasana Camara pulling down 19 rebounds.

- 3PT Percentage: Fitchburg 24%, Lehman 20%

- Free Throw Percentage: Lehman 90.3%, Fitchburg 65%
