Warila Named MASCAC Ice Hockey Rookie Of The Week
Shirley, Mass. native earns third weekly honor of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman forward Tyler Warila has been tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Warila collects his third weekly accolade of the season after registering two points on one goal and one assist in Fitchburg State's 7-5 setback to the Vikings of Salem State University at the Wallace Civic Center on Saturday evening.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (10-11-1, 7-7-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Monday as it hosts the Lancers of Worcester State University for a contest starting at 7 p.m.
