Ice Hockey Earns Pair of MASCAC Weekly Honors

Snyder collects Player of the Week; Warila tabbed Rookie of the Week

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Cameron Snyder was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week, while freshman Tyler Warila earned MASCAC Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week honors as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Snyder collects his first weekly accolade on the season after registering four points on two goals and two assists for the Falcons in a 5-2 MASCAC quarterfinal round win over Worcester State University on Saturday.

Warila picks up his fifth weekly honor of the year after netting a pair of markers and two helpers for the Green and Gold to lift the Falcons to a 5-2 MASCAC quarterfinal round triumph over Worcester State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (11-14-1, 7-10-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Plymouth State University to take on the Panthers in semifinal round action of the 2017 MASCAC Ice Hockey Tournament at 7 p.m.
