Figi Tabbed MASCAC Ice Hockey Player Of The Week

Kloten, Switzerland native earns third weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Sophomore Sascha Figi (Kloten, Switzerland) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week for the second straight week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The second-year Falcon posted five points on two goals and three assists in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold. Figi netted one assist in a 4-1 victory over Framingham State on Thursday before adding two goals and two helpers in a 6-3 triumph against Salem State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (9-6-2, 6-2-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as it travels to Westfield State to take on the Owls for a contest starting at 7:35 PM.
