
Fortin Tabbed MASCAC Player Of The Week
Westerville, Ohio native collects first weekly accolade of the season
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Hunter Fortin (Westerville, Ohio) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.
The fourth-year forward earns his first weekly honor of the year after posting five points on three goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold. Fortin netted one goal and two helpers in a 5-2 victory against Westfield State on Thursday before adding a pair of tallies in a 5-1 triumph over Worcester on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (5-2-2, 3-1-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday, December 29th as they travel to UMass Boston to take on the Beacons in opening round action of the 2022 Codfish Bowl, starting at 1:30PM.
