Imala Named MASCAC Co-Rookie Of The Week

Oak Lawn, Ill. native collects second weekly honor of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman forward Michael Imala (Oak Lawn, IL) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Co-Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Imala nets his second weekly accolade on the year after registering four points on three goals and one assist in a 1-0-1 week for the Green and Gold. Michael tallied one goal and one assist in 3-3 overtime draw with Plymouth State on Thursday before adding a pair of scores in a 4-3 triumph over Worcester State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (4-1-2, 3-0-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday, November 30th as they host the Owls of Westfield State for a conference tilt, starting at 6:30PM.
