Millhorn nets pair of goals for Green & Gold
Worcester, Mass. The Fitchburg State ice hockey team registered a 6-1 triumph over the Lancers of Worcester State this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from the Fidelity Ice Center.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State opened the scoring 5:17 into the first frame as junior Nicholas Weber (Peoria, AZ) settled a feed from sophomore Hunter Dunn (Douglas, MA) and fired a shot inside the near post for his second marker on the season for the 1-0 edge.
The Falcons doubled the advantage (2-0) five minutes later when junior Trenton Skaggs (Oconomowoc, WI) blasted a shot into the right side of the net off assists from sophomore Michael Imala (Oak Lawn, IL) and senior Michael Macchioni (North Kingstown, RI) for his third tally of the 2024 -25 campaign,
The Green and Gold pushed the advantage to 4-0 with sophomores Nicklas Millhorn (Brownstown, MI) and Alexandre Bauvais (Mendon, France) finding the back of the net before Imala received a pass from senior Christian Halbig (Queenstown, MD) and newcomer Elowan Orme Lynch (Courbevoie, France), who proceeded to bury a shot into the back of the net for his second score on the year for the 5-0 edge.
Following a scoreless second period, the Green and Gold, pushed the lead to 6-0 as Millhorn connected for his second marker of the contest with assists from senior Samuel Rennick (Salibury, MA) and sophomore Isaiah McKinney (Nashua, NH). Worcester State capped the scoring with just under two minutes remaining in the contest as freshman Cam Quigley (Quincy, MA) netted his first collegiate marker, resulting in the 6-1 final
