Malcolm MacPherson: Associate Head Coach (24th Season) 

Malcolm MacPherson is in his 24th season as part of the Fitchburg State ice hockey coaching staff. Promoted to Associate Head Coach in 1997, MacPherson is a terrific teacher and leader, bringing a background of success to the team. 

MacPherson has worked with the defense on the ice, while recruiting off the ice. He brings a wealth of knowledge about the game and is an outstanding motivator for the Falcons squad.  

MacPherson is a former head coach of the Fitchburg State men's soccer program for nine season where he posted a 108-36-15 mark from 1983-1991. His career win total is second only to Fuller's in all of the Falcon men's sports. MacPherson currently serves as the head coach of the WPI men's soccer program, enjoying similar success with the Engineers.  

MacPherson and his wife Sandi resided in Holden, Mass. They have two children, Chris (former coach of the Salve Regina Seahawks) and Jennifer.
