FSU Men's Soccer Gives Back to the Community

FITCHBURG, Mass. - On Sunday, November 2, 2014 the Fitchburg State men's soccer team took action in giving back to the community. Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts, a non-profit organization that recently relocated their offices needed helping hands to complete the move. Coach Thissen who is the Director of Retail Operation at Habitat for Humanity connected the dots when help was needed and his team jumped right on it to volunteer: "Giving back to the community is very important to me and is part of my coaching philosophy. It gives my players an opportunity to connect with a local organization that helps other people in one way or the other. I do believe in giving and good things will happen to you!"

Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts is an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, serving 25 communities in the region. They are a non-profit, Christian ecumenical ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness right here in Massachusetts.  Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts has built 30 homes, and given families and their children a chance to grow up in safe, decent and stable conditions. For more information please visit www.ncmhabitat.org
