Krikorian, Martinez and Masley earn post season accolades

FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State men's soccer team named two players to the 2016 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer All-Conference Team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Freshman forward Matthew Krikorian led all Fitchburg State honorees after being selected MASCAC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year, while senior midfielder Steven Martinez was named to the MASCAC All-Conference first team. Fellow senior Nicholas Masley rounded out the honorees for the Falcons, with a second team All-Conference selection.

Krikorian collects his first post-season accolade after witnessing a stellar rookie campaign for the Green and Gold. The first-year Falcon led the team with 20 points on nine markers and pair of assists to go along with two game-winning goals.

Martinez earns his third MASCAC All-Conference selection after registering four points on one goal and two helpers, while Masley picks up his first All-Conference honor after netting three points with one goal scored and one assist.

The Fitchburg State men's soccer team (6-11-1, 3-4-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Friday as it travels to Mass. Maritime Academy for a MASCAC Semifinal round matchup at 7 p.m.
