Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University men's soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 setback to the Rams of Suffolk University in non-conference action this evening at Elliot Field.

How It Happened
Both teams battled to a scoreless opening frame with Suffolk goaltender David Haines (New York, NY) turning back seven Falcons shots on net, while freshman Colby Mason (Athol, Mass.) kept the Rams at bay with one save in the first half.
Suffolk's sophomore Sal Perrotto (Pembroke, Mass.) broke the tie just three minutes into the second stanza. Senior Jordan Casey (East Hampton, Conn.) traveling down the left wing, centered a through ball to Perrotto, who deposited his second goal of the season for the 1-0 lead, and the games only goal.

Haines finished the contest with seven saves for his third win of the season, while Mason posted two saves in the setback.
Marckdonard Bastien (Worcester, Mass.) led the Falcons with five shots on goal.
This evening's contest marks the fourth meeting between the two teams on the pitch with the Falcons 2-2-0 all-time when taking on the Rams.
Fitchburg State has won two of the first three contest against Suffolk with the Rams coming away with a 3-2 victory last season at the James A. Satori Field.
