Men's Soccer Shutout by Worcester State

WORCESTER, MA: Fitchburg State men's soccer was defeated by the Lancers of Worcester State this afternoon by a score of 3-0 in conference action.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/30/23

- Score: Worcester 3, Fitchburg 0

- Records: Worcester (1-4-3, 1-2 MASCAC), Fitchburg (2-6-2, 0-2-1 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  All three Lancer goals came in the last 17 minutes of the contest. Luke Anu broke the 0-0 tie in the second half with an unassisted goal in the 73rd minute.

- Manny Ramirez would score the next two goals for Worcester in the 81st and 85th minutes. Mal Hawkins assisted on the first Ramirez score, with the second also being unassisted.

- Luke Speers (Collegeville, PA) suffers the loss (2-5-1) after allowing three goals with five saves. Andy Ramirez got the win (1-2-3) after making four saves.
