Kibler Tabbed MASCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Bath, Maine native collects fourth weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. (February 4, 2014) –Graduate student Chris Kibler (Bath, Maine) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Chris notches his fourth weekly honor of the season after leading the Fitchburg State men’s indoor track & field team at the 2014 Tufts Stampede hosted by Tufts University over the weekend. Kibler qualified for four post-season honors in the mile with an Open NE qualifying time of 4:16.60 to place second overall in the event, while adding a seventh finish in the 800 meter with a time of 2:01.71 to qualify for MASCAC’s.

The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams return to action this weekend as they compete at the 2014 David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University, starting on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
