Stalters Named MASCAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete Of The Week

Norton, Mass. native collects first weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Cameron Stalters was selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Stalters earns his first weekly accolade of the year after setting a new school record in the heptathlon with a total of 4,157 points to place fifth overall in the event. The second-year Falcon finished first in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.77 seconds, while also taking top honors in the pole vault with a mark 3.40 meters for the Falcons at the 2016-17 Tufts Stampede on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State men's indoor track team returns to action next weekend as they complete in the 2017 Dartmouth Indoor Classic, hosted by Dartmouth College, starting at 10 a.m.
