Fitchburg State Races At Tufts Final Qualifying Meet
Amaral paces Falcons with fourth place effort in the 5000 meter
MEDFORD, Mass. – The Fitchburg State men's indoor track team was in action this afternoon, competing in the 2017 Tufts Final Qualifying Indoor Meet at the Gantcher Center.
Junior Brian Amaral led the way for the Falcons, placing fourth overall in the 5000 meter with a time of 15:13.32, while senior Eric Custadio turned in a 14th place time of 7.41 seconds in the 60 meter dash.
Junior Jake Hastings rounded out the top efforts on the day for the Green and Gold, finishing 15th overall in the mile with a solid time of 4:26.62.
The Fitchburg State men's indoor track team returns to action next weekend as select member compete in the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill., starting on Friday at 10 AM.
