Sattiewhite Claims All-American Honors At 2017 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships

Salem, Mass. native places eighth overall in high jump with a mark of 1.97 meters

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Ben Sattiewhite competed at the 2017 Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Al B. Carius Track in Naperville, Ill. hosted by North Central College on Friday and Saturday.

At the 2017 NCAA DIII Indoor National Championships, the third-year Falcon collected his first career All-American honor after placing eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.97 meters.

Sattiewhite entered the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships ranked eighth in the nation In the high jump after securing his spot in the 2017 NCAA DIII Indoor Track Championships with a second place jump of 2.07 meters at the 2017 Dartmouth Indoor Classic in early February.

The Fitchburg State men's and women's indoor track and field teams concluded their seasons last weekend as members of the squads competed at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet at the Gantchner Center.
