Stalters Earns MASCAC and Corvias ECAC Division III New England Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Week Honors

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Freshman Cameron Stalters (Norton, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Field Athlete of the Week and Track & Field Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Stalters was subsequently named as Corvias ECAC Division III New England Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

Stalters won the javelin at 59.01m at the Pioneer Invitational hosted by Smith College last Saturday. He currently ranks fourth in Division III in the javelin.

Stalters also finished first in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.97.

The Fitchburg State men's outdoor track & field team returns to competition this Saturday, hosting the 2016 Eric Loeschner Memorial at Elliot Field starting at 10 a.m.
