Stalters Earns MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week Honors

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Fitchburg State freshman Cameron Stalters (Norton, Mass.) has earned Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week honors for the period ending on May 8th. This marks the fourth time during the 2016 men's outdoor track & field season that Stalters has earned this award.

Last Saturday at Springfield College, Stalters placed third overall in the javelin with an Open NE qualifying toss of 57.47m (188' 6") to garner All DIII NE accolades at the DIII New England Championships.

The Fitchburg State men's outdoor track & field team returns to action next weekend as select members compete in the 2016 Open New England Championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut State University, starting on Friday at 4 p.m.
