Falcons Shine At 2016 All New England Championships
4x800 meter relay and Sattiewhite qualify for ECAC's To pace Falcons
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Select members of the Fitchburg State men's outdoor track & field team completed at the 2016 Open New England Championships this weekend at the Jess Dow Field on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University.
The 4x800 meter relay team of senior Richard Ethier, IV, junior Chauncey Beatty, classmate Brandon Hannon and sophomore Jake Hastings earned All New England honors with an eighth place finish, turning in an ECAC qualifying time of 7:55.44, while sophomore Ben Sattiewhite qualified for ECAC's in the high jump with a ninth place mark of 1.96 meters.
The Fitchburg State men's outdoor track team returns to action next week as select members complete at the 2016 ECAC Championships, hosted by Westfield State University, starting on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
