Stalters Tabbed MASCAC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete Of The Week

Norton, Mass. native earns collects second weekly honor of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Cameron Stalters (Norton, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The third year Falcon picked up his second weekly accolade of the season after taking top honors in the javelin with an Open New England qualifying toss of 67.07 meters, while also placing first overall in the 110 meter hurdles with a DIII NE qualifying time of 16.17 seconds.

In addition, Stalters added a second place effort in the pole vault with a vault of 3.35 meters for the Falcons as Fitchburg State hosted its annual Eric Loeschner Memorial Invite on Saturday at Elliot Field.

The Fitchburg State men's outdoor track & field team returns to action on Saturday, April 28th as iit completes at the 2018 MASCAC/Alliance Championships, hosted by Bridgewater State University, starting at 10:00 AM.
