Fitchburg State Shines At Open New England Championships

Movsessian and Hastings lead the way for Falcons 

Hanover, N.H. – The Fitchburg State University men's outdoor track and field team returned to action this weekend as select members competed at the Open New England Championships, hosted by Dartmouth College at the Leverone Field House.

Freshman Jacob Movsessian (New Ipswich, N.H.) paced the Green and Gold with an 18th place finish in the 10,000 meter with a  personal best time of 32:48.05, while senior Jake Hastings (Phillipston, Mass.) posted a time of 3:57.31 in the 1500 meter to place 24th overall.

The Fitchburg State men's outdoor track and field team returns to action on Wednesday, May 23rd as select member compete at the 2018 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, starting at 2:00 PM.
