Falcons Race at Tufts Snowflake Classic
Medford, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University men's outdoor track and field team competed at the annual Tufts University Snowflake Classic on Saturday afternoon at Dussault Track.

How It Happened
Junior Eric Shimiyimana (Worcester, Mass.) captured the triple jump title with a distance of 13.57m and placed 8th in the long jump at 6.06m. Classmate Nathaniel Felix (Worcester, Mass.) had a personal best in the 100m with a time of 10.83 seconds, to finish second just 1/100th of a second off the top spot. First-year Shaki Austin (Springfield, Mass.) finished in seventh in the race with a PR of 11.41.
Sophomore Nicholas Zeoli (Plymouth, Mass.) finished seventh in the shot put with a throw of 13.74m and had a PR in the discus with a toss of 40.07m, while junior Zanthius Collins (Franklin, Mass.) placed third in the javelin (47.72m).
