Manyok Named MOTK Track Athlete of the Week

Lynn, Mass. native notches third weekly honor of the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The third-year Falcon collects his third weekly accolade on the season after claiming the MASCAC championship in the 10,000 meter with a DIII New England qualifying time of 33:08.73, while also taking the conference title in the 3000 meter steeple chase with a DIII NE qualifying time of 9:59.85.

Manyok also captured the MASCAC crown in the 5000 meter with a solid time of 16:07.66 as well as guiding the 4x400 meter relay team to a first place time of 3:28.89 for the Green and Gold at the 2023 MASCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State Men's Outdoor Track and Field team returns to action this weekend as select members compete at the 2023 DIII New England Championships, hosted by Springfield College, starting on Friday.
