Amaral Named ECAC DIII NE and MASCAC Runner of the Week
Tewskbury, Mass. native collects seventh weekly honor of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Junior Brian Amaral was recently tabbed both Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) DIII New England and Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors as announced by the conference offices on this week.
Amaral earns his third straight and seventh overall weekly accolade on the year after leading the Fitchburg State men's cross country team to a fourth place finish at the 11th annual Saints Invite on Friday afternoon as the third-year Falcons turned in a time of 26:14 over the 8K layout to place fourth overall.
The Fitchburg State men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, October 29th as it hosts the 2016 MASCAC Men's Cross Country Championship Meet at the Doyle Conservation Center in Leominster at 11 a.m.
