Williamstown, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country competed at the 2019 Williams College Purple Valley Invitation this morning, placing 15th overall with a total of 426 points at Mount Greylock High School.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State was led by sophomore junior Jacob Movsessian (Ipswich, N.H.) who placed 50th overall with a time of 28:07.3, while freshman Brian O'Sullivan (Templeton, Mass.) was next (86th) for the Falcons, turning in a time of 29:29.4 over the 8K course.
First year Matthew Catarius (Shrewsbury, Mass.) posted a time of 29:32.4 good for 88th place and junior Joe Weston (Middleton, Mass.) came through the chute at 29:45.8.
Freshman Samuel Flint (Methuen, Mass.) and sophomore Trevor Fields (Shirley, Mass.) finished neck and neck with times of 31:11.6 and 31:11.7 respectively.
