
Falcons Soar At Keene State Invitational
Sheehy notches time of 27:29.6 with 29th place finish
Keene N.H. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team placed eighth overall at the 2019 Keene State Cross Country Invitational this afternoon with a total of 226 points.

How It Happened
Junior Timothy Sheehy (Wakefield, R.I.) led the way for the Falcons with 28th place time of 27:29.6 over the 8K course, while freshman Matthew Catarius (Shrewsbury, Mass.) followed in 41st place with a time of 27:48.1.
Freshman Brian O'Sullivan (Templeton, Mass.) entered the chute next with a time of 27:49.1, while classmate Samuel Flint (Methuen, Mass.) was next for the Green and Gold, turning in a time of 28:06.5. Rounding out the top seven finishers for the Falcons were sophomore Trevor Fields (Shirley, Mass.) (28:55.6), sophomore Nicholas Sachetta (Billerica, Mass.) (29:09) and freshman Conor Dandy (Westminster, Mass.) (29:55.6).

Fitchburg State placed second overall at last year's Keene State Cross Country Invite with a total of 48 points
Williams College won the 2019 Keene State Cross Country Invitational with a total of 54 points.
Sophomore Matyas Csiki-Fejer (Manchester, Mo.) of Suffolk placed first overall with a time of 25:57.3
Catarius, O'Sulliavan, Sachetta, junior Ian Poyant (Acton, Maine) and senior Brandon DiGregorio (Nashua, N.H.) all registered PR times for the Green and Gold on the afternoon
