Falcons Excel at James Early Invitational

Westfield, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team competed at the 2019 James Early Memorial Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University this morning.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State was led by junior Jacob Movsessian (Ipswich, N.H.), who placed 6th overall with a time of 26:22.34, while classmate Joe Weston (Middleton, Mass.) followed with a personal best time of 26:54.99, over the 8K course.
Sophomore Nick Sachetta (Billerica, Mass.) finished third for the Green and Gold with a time of 28:50.68 and freshman Conor Dandy (Westminster, Mass.) crossed the chute at 29:17:93.
Sophomore Ethan Goodreau (Spencer, Mass.) and freshman Tyssen LaBombard (Shelbourne Falls, Mass.) rounded out the top finishers for the Falcons with times of 29:52.59 and 30:02.77 respectively.
Inside the Numbers
- Movsessian was the first MASCAC runner to cross the finish line.
- Trinity took the first five slots, Weyessa McAllister captured the race with a time of 25:42:60
- Trinity College captured first place at the 2019 James Early Memorial Invite after amassing a total of 15 points.
