Women’s Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Team Academic Award
Falcons finish 2013-14 academic year with 3.00 Team GPA
FITCHBURG, Mass. (August 12, 2014) – The Fitchburg State women’s lacrosse team was recently honored by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), earning the IWLCA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year.
A total of 254 women’s lacrosse teams posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the IWLCA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year. Under head coach, Rick Terrio, Fitchburg State recorded a cumulative 3.00 Team GPA, earning the first IWLCA team academic honor in Fitchburg State women’s lacrosse history.
Members of the 2013-14 team include: Madeline Hoffman, Samantha Bontempo, Jessica Sullivan, Julia Gimenez, Erin Morrissey, Kayla Panek, Markie Apple, Danielle Cormier, Abbey Norden, Andrea Comeau, Erin Murphy, Brianna Dunn, Ali Laferriere, Alexa Sterner, Elizabeth Darrigo and Lindsey White.
