Long Named MASCAC Co-Rookie of the Week
WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) announced its weekly honors for women's lacrosse and Fitchburg State's Carrie Long was named co-rookie of the week.
The freshman midfielder totaled 10 points with eight goals and two assists to go along with six ground balls, 14 draw controls and five caused turnovers in a 3-0 week for the Falcons. Registered five points on four goals and one assist with four draw controls in an 18-2 win over Elms College before adding two points on a pair of goals as well as three ground balls, four draw controls and one caused turnover in a 12-11 win over Bridgewater State.
