Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team's 2020 season has been announced with the Falcons scheduled to play a total of 17 games, including ten non-conference contests.

Newcomer Francesca Reyes (Malden, Mass.) will take the reigns as the Falcons goaltender, while veteran back Dominique Finlay (Plymouth, Mass.) anchors the Fitchburg State back line after starting 16 of 17 contests for the Green and Gold in addition to 29 ground balls, one draw control and 15 caused turnovers.

Some of the incoming freshmen who will make an impact this season for the Green and Gold are Brooke Johnson (Billerica, Mass.), Brooke Williams (South Dennis, Mass.), Eva Kozikowski (Portsmouth, N.H.) and Gabrielle Scibilia (Haverhill, Mass.), are coming off an impress start to the off-season.

"I am very excited for the upcoming season." "We have a strong senior class as well as ten solid incoming freshman." Said head coach, Rick Terrio. "We are expecting a good season even though we are young." Terrio continued.

"Moving Kopacz (Nicole) and Miele (Julia) to the midfield has made an immediate impact coming off a recent scrimmage with Southern Maine this past weekend in which we played very well." Terrio said.

"Attacker wise, we have a returning (Tracy) Long and (Madison) Alves in addition to a couple strong incoming freshman in (Eva) Kozikowski, (Gabrielle) Sciilia and (Brooke) Johnson, while defensively (Dominique) Finlay will provide a veteran leadership presence that will feature returner Jillian Whalen (South Hadley, Mass.) and (Brooke) Williams." Terrio concluded.
