BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. (October 7, 2011) - Senior Carissa Kennedy (Somerset, Mass./Somerset) netted a pair of goals and an assist to lead Fitchburg State to its tenth straight victory with a 7-0 MASCAC triumph over Mass-Maritime Academy in women's soccer action this evening.

Kennedy collected both of her goals in the opening 24-plus minutes of play for the visiting Falcons (10-1, 4-0 MASCAC), as she converted a pair of feeds from freshman Kayla Bridges (Foxboro, Mass./Foxboro) in the 13th and 25th minutes of action. In addition, Kennedy helped set up senior Katie Hayward's (Townsend, Mass./North Middlesex) marker in the 15th minute of play.

Senior Erica Graves (Feeding Hills, Mass./Agawam) tallied with 1:46 remaining in the opening half to give Fitchburg State a 4-0 lead at the break, and senior Katrina Marrone (Springfield, Mass./Springfield Central) extended that margin to 5-0 just 1:36 after intermission on feeds from Hayward and Bridges.

Sophomore Kimberly Carroll (Tewksbury, Mass./Tewksbury) closed out the scoring for the visitors with a pair of goals in just over a five minute span, as she tallied an unassisted marker in the 64th minute before converting a Graves feed in the 69th minute of action.
