Falcons Collect Two All-Conference Honors

Jamieson and Walker selected to the MASCAC All-Conference Second Team

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. (November 5, 2012) – The Fitchburg State women's soccer team named two players to the 2012 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Team as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Junior Rachel Jamieson (Foxboro, Mass./Foxboro) collected her third All-Conference nomination with a MASCAC All-Conference second team honor, while freshman Jacqueline Walker (Derry, N.H./Pinkerton Academy) also picked up a MASCAC All-Conference second team accolade with her first career selection.

On the season, Jamieson continued her solid play, posting a team-leading 16 points on seven markers and two helpers in 13 appearances for the Falcons. She registered three goals and one assist for seven points over the course of six conference games, including a single score in a 4-0 win over Mass-Maritime Academy.

Throughout the season, Walker aided the Fitchburg State backline, limiting opponents to a 2.88 goals against average over 17 contests. In her rookie campaign, the freshman defender also added her first collegiate point, posting one assist in the Falcons 4-0 victory against Mass-Maritime Academy.

The Fitchburg State women's soccer team concluded its 2012 season with an overall record of 3-14-0 and a 1-6-0 clip in the MASCAC.
