Fitchburg State Names Pair To MASCAC All-Conference Team
Medina and ZIna named to MASCAC All-Conference second team
FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's soccer team named a pair of players to the 2016 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer All-Conference Team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior defenseman Sammi Zina and sophomore back Maddie Medina earned 2016 MASCAC Women's Soccer All-Conference second team honors.
Zina earns her second MASCAC All-Conference selection after anchoring a Falcon defense that limited opponents to 1.82 goals per contest, while Medina collects her first MASCAC All-Conference accolade after totaling three points on one score and an assist.
The Fitchburg State women's soccer team recently concluded its 2016 campaign with an overall record of 6-13 and a 3-4 clip in the MASCAC, en-route to claiming the sixth seed in the 2016 MASCAC women's soccer post-season tournament.
