How It Happened
Both teams battled to a scoreless first half. Junior goaltender Allison Gough (Wolcott, Conn.) posted 4 saves in the frame while the Nichols netminder freshman Adie Hughes (Hampden, Maine) made one stop. Sophomore Ashley Porter (Upton, Mass.) had the lone shot on goal for the Falcons.

The Green and Gold countered with a partial break-a-way from freshman Abaigeal Gilman (Clinton, Mass.) whose shot was stopped by Hughes.
Senior Maegan Roy (Thompson, Conn.) doubled the lead for the hosts in the 67th minute with a deep shot into the upper left corner.
