West Hartford, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's soccer team dropped a tough 3-2 decision to the Blue Jays of the University of Saint Joseph in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
Just 2:44 into the first frame, the Falcons took the early lead. Junior Maddie Hippert (Worcester, Mass.) found Alisha Praileau (Ashby, Mass.) inside the box for the freshman's first collegiate goal. The Blue Jays potted the following two goals from sophomore Kelsi Ursini (Groton, Conn.) and senior Maxine Muscatello (Berlin, Conn.) to take a 2-1 advantage at halftime.
The Green and Gold battled back in the second half and knotted the score (2-2) when freshman Jessica St. George (Dracut, Mass.) scored an unassisted tally. However, St. Joseph notched the game-winner with less than a minute remaining off the boot of sophomore Jenna Zup (Berlin, Conn.).

- Senior Allison Gough (Wolcott, Conn.) turned aside 8 shots for the Falcons in the setback
