Robert Named MASCAC Women’s Track Co-Athlete of the Week

Lynn, Mass. native collects first accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. (December 9, 2013) – Junior Arthina Robert (Lynn, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Track Co-Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office Sunday evening.

Robert collects her first weekly honor of the season after the men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams competed at the 2013 UMass Boston Indoor Track and Field Open on Saturday afternoon. The third-year Falcon turned the second fastest time on the afternoon in the 60 meter dash with a personal best and ECAC qualifying time of 7.99, while also qualifying for the MASCAC Championships in the 200 meter with a time of 27.26.

The Fitchburg State men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams return to action on Saturday as they compete in the 2013 Jay Carisella Meet hosted by Northeastern University, starting at 4:30 p.m.
