Falcons Collect Two MASCAC Indoor Track Weekly Honors

Sattiewhite selected Men's Indoor Rookie of the Week; Woolley named Women's Indoor Rookie of the Week

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Newcomer Annie Woolley was tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Rookie of the Week, while on the men's side, classmate Ben Sattiewhite earned MASCAC Men's Indoor Rookie of the Week honors this week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Sattiewhite collects his third straight and fourth overall weekly accolade of the season after being named MASCAC Men's Indoor Field and Rookie of the Week. The first-year Falcon led the way for the Fitchburg State men's indoor track team at the 2015 DIII ECAC Championships with a fourth place finish in the high jump with a mark of 2.02 meters.

On the women's side, Woolley earns her second weekly honor of the 2014-15 campaign after being selected MASCAC Women's Indoor Track Rookie of the Week. Annie placed 22nd overall in the 60 meter hurdles to pace the Fitchburg State women's indoor track team at the 2015 DIII ECAC Championships at the Armory in New York City this past weekend.

Select members of the Fitchburg State men's and women's indoor track & field teams await their selection into the NCAA DIII Championship Meet, beginning on Friday, March 13th at the JDL Fast Track Complex in Winston-Salem, N.C. with Roanoke College serving as the hosts.
