Woolley Tabbed MASCAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete Of The Week

Malden, Mass. native collects first weekly accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Junior Annie Woolley was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's indoor track athlete of the week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Woolley earned All-New England Honors with an Open New England qualifying time of 8.83 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles to place second overall in the event to set a new school record in the process at the 2017 DIII New England Championships, hosted by MIT on Saturday afternoon. With that time Annie currently ranks second nationally in the 60 meter hurdles.

The Fitchburg State women's indoor track team returns to action next weekend as select members compete in the 2016-17 Open New England Indoor Track Championships, hosted by Northeastern University, starting on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.
