Woolley Selected MASCAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete Of The Week

Malden, Mass. native notches second accolade of the season

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Senior Annie Woolley (Malden, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Woolley earns her second straight weekly honor of the year after finishing first overall in the 60 meter hurdles with an Open New England qualifying time of 9.00 seconds, while adding a DIII New England qualifying time of 8.19 seconds in the 60 meter dash with a third place effort in the event.

The fourth-year Falcons also helped lead the Fitchburg State women's indoor track 4x200 meter relay team to a third place finish with a time of 1:58.77 at the 2017-18 Plymouth State Winter Classic on Saturday. With her time in the 60 meter hurdles, Annie currently ranks second nationally on the performance list.

The Fitchburg State women's indoor track team returns to action after the semester break when it competes at the 2017-18 Dartmouth Relay, hosted by Dartmouth College on Saturday, January 6th at 11:00 A.M.
