Fitchburg State Shines At Dartmouth Relays

Woolley places third overall in the 60m hurdles with Open NE qualifying time of 8.92 seconds 

Hanover, N.H. – The Fitchburg State women's indoor track and field team placed sixth at the 48th annual Dartmouth Relayswith a total of six points this afternoon at the Leverone Field House on the campus of Dartmouth College.

Senior Annie Woolley (Malden, Mass.) led the way for Fitchburg State, placing third overall in the 60 meter hurdles with an Open New England qualifying time of 8.92 seconds, while classmate Sadie Zbikowski (Ashburnham, Mass.) notched a MASCAC qualifying vault of 2.90 meters in the pole vault with an eighth place finish.

Junior Amy Kelly (Stoughton, Mass.) turned a pair of post-season qualifying times in the mile (5:33.50) and the 3000m (11:12.68), placing 19th and 14th respectively, while sophomore Micalea Goldenberg (Douglas, Mass.) added a 27th place finish in 400 meter with a MASCAC qualifying time of 107.29.

In the 60 meter dash, Goldenberg placed 31st overall with a time of 9.01 seconds to collect her second post-season qualifying time of the day, while newcomer Makaisha Gonzalez (Lancaster, Mass.) posted a MASCAC qualifying time of 9.14 seconds with a  38th place finish.

The Fitchburg State women's track and field team returns to action next weekend as it completes at Brandeis University on Saturday for a meet starting at 11:00 A.M.
