Camara Selected MASCAC Indoor Track Field Athlete Of The Week

Lynn, Mass. native picks up second weekly honor on the year 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Makany Camara (Lynn, MA) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office this morning.

Camara earns her second weekly accolade of the season after placing fourth overall in the 60 meter hurdles with an All-New England qualifying time of 9.22 seconds, while taking top honors in the high jump with a DIII New England qualifying mark of 1.60 meters for the Green and Gold at the 2024 USATF New England Championships, hosted by Harvard University on Sunday.

The Fitchburg State Women's Indoor Track & Field team returns to action this weekend as select members compete at the 2024 DIII New England Championships at the New Balance Track.
