Goba Tabbed MASCAC WOTK Rookie Of The Week

Norton, Mass. notches first weekly accolade of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Skye Goba (Norton, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The first-year Falcons collects her first weekly honor of the 2023 campaign after placing fifth overall in the 1500 meter with a MASCAC qualifying time of 5:13.98, while adding a seventh effort of 2:37.04 in the 800 meter to qualify for MASCAC's in that event as well at the 2023 BSU Bears Invite on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2023 Snowflake Classic, hosted by Tufts University.
