Maple Grove, Minn. collects first weekly honor on the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Ephemian Bailey (Maple Grove, Minn.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The second-year Falcons notches her first weekly accolade of the year after finishing second overall in the discus with a personal best and DIII New England qualifying toss of 35.37 meters, while adding a fourth place throw of 10.25 meters in the shotput for the Falcons at the 2023 Snowflake Classic, hosted by Tufts University on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team returns to action on Saturday as they host the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational from Elliot Field.
