Falcons Nipped By Trailblazers
Osborne, Peirce and Pease pace Falcons with 38 combined digs
Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Trailblazers of MCLA in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this evening at the Parkinson Gymnasium.

How It Happened
Junior middle hitter Kristina Osborne (Ashby, Mass.) led the Falcons with a team-best 15 digs, three kills, one assist and two solo blocks, while newcomer Jessica Peirce (Brentwood, N.H.) chipped in with 13 digs and one service ace. Freshman Amy Coelho (Bellingham, Mass.) was also strong for the Green and Gold, posting four assists, three digs and two kills.
For MCLA, sophomore outside hitter Brooke Queripel (Palmer, Ak.) collected a match-best ten kills, two assists and one dig, while freshman Natasha Stewart (N. Andover, Mass.) added 17 digs, two kills, six assists and three service aces. Senior Taylor Wiese (Las Vegas, Nev.) aided the Trailblazers offense, finishing with nine assists and seven digs for the visitors.
