Dyer Named MASCAC Women’s Volleyball Rookie Of The Week
Raynham, Mass. native receives first weekly accolade of the season
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Outside Hitter Sariah Dyer (Raynham, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.
The first-year Falcon earns her first weekly honor after finishing the week with 17 kills, seven digs and one blocking assist in a 1-1 week for the Falcons. Dyer notched six kills and four digs in a setback to Nichols College on Wednesday before posting 11 kills, three digs and one blocking assist in a 3-1 win over Dean on Friday.
The Fitchburg State women's volleyball team (1-1, 0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as it hosts the Colonels of Curry College in non-conference action from the Parkinson Gymnasium, starting at 6:00 PM.
