Bio

Brett Pettis (Head Coach; 3rd Season 6-36)

Brett Pettis enters his third season as the head coach of the Fitchburg State women's volleyball team in 2023.

This past year, Pettis guided the Falcons to an overall record of 5-15 and a 2-5 clip within conference play as the Green and Gold netted the sixth seed in the MASCAC Women's Volleyball post-season tournament. In addition, Brett coached Fitchburg State's first ever MASCAC Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Year.

Most recently Pettis was the JV coach at Marlboro High School and spent three years at Haverhill High School in the same position. His club background includes three years as the head coach of the Mass Patriot’s and court coach at the Masspike Volleyball camp where he coordinated player evaluations..

Pettis, a four-year member of the Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team, was a three-time selection to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference squad.

Pettis earned a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and History with a minor in Management from Emmanuel College and a master’s degree from Fitchburg State University in Special Education: Guided Studies, Professional Concentration.
